What Was On My Husband That Night?

One night a few months ago, my husband woke me in the night, he was in a complete state of terror..he then told me what had happened. He said he was sleeping and then he felt a weight on his chest, he woke up, and a shadow was on top of him, pressuring him, and he felt as tho he couldn't move, he tried to call out to me, but I didn't wake up at first, so he then started praying to God, saying for whatever it was to get out in the name of Jesus Christ.(we are christians) and then it got up and he could then see how tall it was, it was short and a shadow, and it fled out of our room into his parents room..he was terrified as he told me this story..
We were scared for awhile then we did't have anymore confrontation from it, so we let it go.
However a few weeks ago his grandparents came to visit, and they slept in his parents room, and the next morning his grandfather told him in private that a shadow was walking back and forth in front of the bed, and it kept him awake all night... He had no idea of what happened to my husband, because we didn't tell anyone..
does anyone know what this could be? we haven't seen it since.
It is very scary, because I have a two year old, and I wouldn't want it scaring her...help

Black Shadow/Shadow Ghost is a ghost hanging in the lower realms, it's lost and dwelling in complete darkness.
This is just my theory....but there are ghosts who desire to feel human again, feel and enjoy earthly pleasures. Once they are dead they cannot enjoy these things no more, and in order to do this, they have to cross over into the light.
More than likely this spirit was wanting to feel human again, but it also feels a sense of anger because it cannot.
Your husband did the right thing by praying and asking it to leave. But one thing that we can't stress enough is..."Show No Fear" he has to be the one in control of the situation. Not letting this spirit take charge of anyone.
Tell it to seek the light and also let it know that in the light is total peace and love and unconditional love.
That spirit is there for a reason and more than likely is there because it doesn't want to face judgement. You must convince him that this will not take place like it was taught in the churches...sorry to say...as fear is human made.
These are things that have to be done in order to make this spirit seek the light.

thanks, that makes alot of sense..I will relate this to him, but like I said, we haven't had a further experience personaly since that day, his grandfather did tho...thanks for the input.

What I do want you also to do is....Pray for this lost soul as he too needs guidance to the light. Call upon the angels to come down and guide him/her home.

I will try that..I do feel that his/her presence is still in my home, I feel like I am being watched alot, and I get goose bumps out of the blue...I know this isn't normal, I know this is a spirit..anything you can tell me to help me, I really appreciate, thanks for all your help.
Do you think I could capture this on film, when I feel the starring, if I snap a pic, do you think I could get something. i have pics with orbs in them...

Ahhh...yeah! I really think you will get pictures.
I have even gone so far as to have the ghosts pose for me, and guess what! they love to pose and be in pictures.

I was born and raised in Hawaii ~ And in Hawaii one of the most popular ghost stories/legends is what they have called the haunting's/visitors of the “Choking Ghost”. There have been numerous accounts, incidents and/or occurrences that usually take place when a person/’s are in bed fast asleep. A shadowy or transparent figure is standing above the victim and much pressure is on the chest area and sometimes the neck down to the chest. You are unable to move, scream or have the use of your arms, hands and legs.

This has happened to both local (Hawaii born) and Non locals (Visitors, College students etc…). It is real. It does happen…. all the time. (Documented on all 6 populated Hawaiian Islands).

They have said that these ghosts are trying to relay a message. Some say that they are being playful/mischievous.

As Kat had mentioned ~ Prayer always helps. Show no fear. Be diligent and always show confidence. You’d be surprised that they are actually more afraid of you then you are of them.

Dr. Glen Grant a former professor from the University of Hawaii wrote several books entitled the OBAKE Files (Translation: Obake is Japanese for Ghost) In his books he has several "Choking Ghosts" stories.

Thank you so much for your comment. It gave me new insight as to what may be happening to us.. I have never heard of the "Choking Ghosts" before so this was very interesting to me.. I will research it more now.. Again thanks for taking the time to read my story..

I have a neighbor that this happens to about every 2 to 3 months..at first, we thought it was an entitiy in her apt. that was doing it,,then she moved a few blocks down,,it still happens to her.We were going to try to study her as she sleeps,,but we dont have the opportunity with her husband around,,she has never told him about it,,he is a non believer. This has been happening to her for several years,I am wondering if it may be the uhh,,dang I cant think of the name..something like sleep paralysis. My co-founder of our group also has this happen,( she has moved from homes several times too, it still happens for her),they have both reported a shadow figure at the time of paralysis,,then praying or thinking of God or Jesus and it stops. I wish we had the means to study someone like this while they are sleeping,,it would be a long term study of course, but would be extremely fascinating!

I know exactly what you are saying, lucky for my husband, i am a believer, and I support him, maybe I can video tape him one night, and maybe I can luckily catch it..I can run the video every night til I do, and then fast forward watch it every morning.. Hum/.'

Absolutely, do it if you can. Possibly try to cammoflage the camera behind something on a table or dresser,,make it so you can see as much of him and the bed area as possible,,but try to keep it kind of close too.. and once you turn on the video to record,,try to let it go out of your mind,,dont concentrate on the camera or what you are trying to do,, your thoughts of it may hinder what ever is coming there,,if it is a "someone"..I'm not saying I doubt you, I dont,,its just that there is no research done in the ghost people community on this subject,(( at least none that I know of anyway,,, and if it is a sleep paralysis thing,, then you will know,,but until you get something on video ,,there is nothing solid that says its a shadow person,, IF,,, it happens to him, and there is nothing visual on video,, then it could possibly be the sleep paralysis thing,,but I'm not an expert on either subject,,just running with some ideas. Best of luck catching this ,,what ever it may be. Please keep us up to date on how it goes.
