i have a animal ghost story.... when i first joined this site, i wrote about my ferrert joey that died last sept. i wrote that every now and then, ican feel that his spirit is in my house. i smell his scent alot lately and i wonder if the reason for this is because he is buried in my backyard?so, i do have a animal ghost in my house along with a human ghost in my house. i hope this makes some kind of sense....

I have nothing to back this up but this just happened this month. I was sitting here on my computer at like 2am and i hear a cat meow from the next room over. I jump up and run in there thinking i left the window open but it is closed tightly and locked. After that, me and my girlfriend both smell cat urine at times and then the smell disappears just as fast as it came. We have both probably smelled this three times in the last month and that is about all there is to it. There could be a logical explanation for this but maybe not? We are moving out of here soon though because it's so crazy so I don't think we will be able to see if more stuff happens.
Hopefully the kitty's ghost doesn't follow you when you move.
I believe the spirit of the dead whether animal or human haunts the person and not the place.

What great animal stories and fantastic pictures as well. I just love it when people add their experiences to sites like this. It is amazing how many similarities you can find with your own experiences.
OK, my Mom tells a story and swears by it. It happened in the 1930's.
A friend of her family slipped off a bad walkway as he worked at the shipyards in Jacksonville, FL.. He had a faithful dog named "Ring" who was a Lab /mix with a white ring around his throat.
Anyway, the man, Herman, worked the nights at the shipyard. He fell off a bad walkway into the river and was drowned on his way to work.
His dog was adopted by the family, of course.
A week later, Ring heard something. He wagged his tail as he always did when his master returned home. He went directly to the gate, and was as happy as could be. He walked his "invisible" master to the house and laid down to be petted.
My Gramma and her sister both said, "He could not go to Heaven wthout saying goodbye to Ring."
My cat, Babette was a blue Persian. I had always wanted a Persian as they are such sweet cats. Anyway, I got Babette from a breeder. She was a polydactyl (Six toes on front paws, seven on each back paw). She was really descended from Hemingway cats in Key West.
However, Babette had very small kidneys and went into failure when she was 4 years old. My Mom was upset, as Babette adored her. Soon after, we had to have "Babby" put down.
I woke up often, feeling her big paws kneading my back as she always did, and heard her purr. They don't call them "Purr-sians" for nothing. She had the biggest purr ever.I felt like it was just being half asleep and memory.
My Mom called me a couple of weeks after Babby was put down.
She said, "I still feel her jumping on the bed with those big feet. And I hear that big purr!!"
I just told my Mom that Babby loved her and was checking on her.
I too have a ghost cat that jumps up on my bed and lays by my feet but thats not what I wanted to tell you lol! 7 toed and 6 toed cats are very lucky idk just something I heard that they are very specail.-Jolene
I can't say this is a ghost, but it is interesting.
My dog passed 2 years ago next week (came fast), at the age of 18. I got Faleine as a puppy when I was younger. A few months after I got her we got a kitten for my granparents, Kringle was a christmas gift. Well as my dog got older she got sick and was poorly, she passed one night in her sleep. :(
That day my grandparents called to tell us Kringle had died that night. They called my mom originally and was like really? cause faleine died last night as well.
Other than when they were a pup and a kitten, they never really had contact, but they were born around the same time and died at the same time.
I think about that quite often, how strange that is. But I know they're at the rainbow bridge together with my Peach (bunny) who died last year.
So, not a ghost story, but definitely interesting.
