Hey everyone. My wife and I went out last night on our first investigation. The weather was pretty lousy most of the night so we mainly just worked with my recently acquired Shack Box. We had a lot of fun with this and I think we will be doing many more in the future, it is sloppy I know, but I think we did ok for our first run.
I think you and the Mrs did a very good job, I just would have gotten out of the car for a much better response. The RS Box I think needed to have more white noise, as it still seemed to be picking up channels. Though some of the words that were said were not words you'd hear on a radio station. So I feel your box did indeed work. The words came in perfect with the questions you asked....good job!
I would though, still take a digital voice recorder with you also, because sometimes what you hear on video is a whole lot different on evp. Some recorders give you that white noise.
Good pictures too
Thanks Kat. The FM Band does seem to produce a little more bee boppy noise - I used AM a little bit on the last stop at Surrender house. I think I'll try that more next time, only problem with that is it also gives a bit of a popping noise - but that can be filtered out.
We used a digital recorder for the whole night - the video cam was a new toy we were playing with, could probably tell with our great video framing that we weren't very used to it LOL.
So, you like the Radio Shack Hacks, huh? I have also recorded quite a bit through these devices - stuff that goes beyond coincidence. More on them here for those who are not aware: Ghost Box
I do like the Shack Box Louis. I'm finding some folks (not here) who don't think it's valid paranormal research at all though. But even still I think it's got a lot of potential and would agree with you that some of the responses are beyond coincidence.
I'm trying to be rational about it though and not champion it so much that I lose my discrimination about it.
I am.
Pointer. Drown. No. (Different ppl).

Yes. (Union & Confederate Soldiers). Wow.
Thank-you both for going out on a rainy night to capture these evps/photo’s. Good job!
