What kind of camera were you using. If it was 35mm, I can rule it out by saying the film was either expired, overprocessed, or exposed to light. If it was digital, would be light filtration on your lens due to dust inside your camera.

It was a digital camera, thanks for the replies! A toy ball was what it reminded us of too!
