Possesion, Scitzophrenia or a haunting of some sort? Need Advise!

Oh my goodness ok so i have a very close freind who aperantly has been keeping some scary things secret and finally told me this morning. She's a very down to earth person very religious and faithfull and a mother of 4 and in her late 30's, this morning she tells me she's been hearing voices telling her conflicting things sometimes their nice and sometimes they are disgustingly mean she says she has been touched on the arm and has had her head ripped back by something she couldnt see or touch this thing has told her it intends to rape her and make her harm her children as well as she believes it has manifested itsself infront of her twice in the shape of a form but it was all foggy like and it attempted to touch her, she is due to be baptized in december and she says it all started when she set her date to be baptized she has never befor in her life experienced anything like this and is starting to think she may be scitzophrenic but has seen a doctor who has told her she is not due to the fact that she knows it cant be real, it is not just in her home she saw it once in our church and hears it and feels it everywere she goes...any thoughts because i am at a loss i can not for the life of me figure out what i can do or say to help her it's just so bizzare she's about to comit herself and give up her kids out of fear that she is not sane or safe.

Ok....now here is where we need details...I know things like this are hard to handle and asking for details makes things even worse. But it's important that we know these things so that we can help her out.

Here are some important questions she needs to answer....

How long has she lived in this house?
Has anyone that she knows recently died?
What is the area like that is around her? close to a cemetery?
What are the ages of her kids? does she have girls?
I feel that being baptized has nothing to do with this, and since she has seen this being inside her church...it's more than likely somebody she knows or within the area. It could even be a neighbor.

* She has lived in her house for about 2 years, she is renting it.
* As far as she is aware of there have been no recent deaths.
* The area she lives in is sort of the center of town and there are no cemetary's near by or in our town at all.
* Her kids are 5 (boy), 11 (girl), 16 (boy), and 22 (boy) only the two youngest live with her. so she just has one girl.

The reason I ask the question about her kids is...sometimes kids tend to do things as curious teens and go over to a friends house and play with Ouiji Boards and do things they really shouldn't be doing. I have experienced this myself with my kids...they played with a Ouiji Board and ened up bringing home a attachment.
There is also something else with having teens girls in the house, they say it has to do with adolesence years to where a ghost will attach themselves to a child. Children can see ghosts much better than we can.
I don't believe in demons...I believe in bad spirits/ghosts. I know because of her religious background, she tends to lean more towards the demons instead.
She needs to do some research on her property and the surrounding area to find if this might be why she has this spirits in her house all of a sudden. It could be a neighbor that just recently passed that had a thing out for her...there are so many reasons why this ghost is there.

Her psychological status is the main focus here. "Has seen a doctor who has told her she is not due to the fact that she knows it cant be real”. Then she’s NOT Schizophrenic.

There’s no one answer Misty. How long has this been going on?

Support. Give her that. Religion. Ensure & affirm that her inner beliefs should be surfaced – NOW. She seemed to have lost her strength or ability to handle this on her own. If someone is able to come & bless her, her home, her family & the area this maybe the right start. Prayers…Prayers & more Prayers. Holy water, symbols, or religious items. Sounds corny but if this is what she believes in then do it! Most importantly show NO fear. Her mind has been stained yet it’s not permanent. Get the church involved. If worst gets to worst… call in a paranormal team to ‘show’ her that it’s real & not just in her mind .

Note: Ghosts, spirits, entities & yes-demonic forces are extremely manipulative. Instigating & altering humans thoughts & behavior. Some work on… while others work through humans. Intervene now.

Possibility: Psychic abilities come in stages - she may have reached one that she wasn’t prepared for. Intervene now. If she doesn’t want it – tell GOD now! I don’t want it! Again... sounds corny but if this is what she believes in then do it!

I agree with those questions. And here are some others to think about too...

Has this happen before when she was young?
Has it only been pulling hair? Or have there been any other bodily harm?
Have the children been experiencing anything?

Kat, you have made a great point. Ouija Boards have been know to open a door to between your body and the spirit realm. The number 1 rule in my home is to not mess with a Ouija Board, don't go near it, and don't come home after messing with one. As it just comes home with you.

At anytime that a Ouija Board has been used, it does not necessary attach right away, it will pan out and then attach. It is a spirit that attracts to certain energy. Energy that it likes to feed off of. Some are a pain to remove and dispose of.

How long has this been happening to her? It has had to of happened before, maybe insignificant things have happened, but something did. Has she ever sleep walk or talked to nothing when she was young.

well to answer those questions
* She says she has never experienced anything like this in her life.
* it has not just been pulling her hair... i wanted to leave this part out but i guess detals are important... she tells me that it makes her feel like its being "intimate" with her and not like in a stimulating way but that she can actually feel like there is something moving in and out. (that is very akward for me to say but it is one of the reasons i am so highly alarmed by it).
*the children have not expierenced anything out of the normal.
*she seems to think it started about a year and a half ago when she had met a persn very much into something she described as mexican voodoo (i have no clue what she means by that and she doesnt eather thats the only words she could use to describe it) and this person insisted on giving her a "blessing" and she didnt refuse as not to be rude and had no opinion on it untill after all this happened this person has since threatened to kill her i guess.

You know..these things are always dicey. I worked with a schizophrenic the other day who was trying to slash her wrists on the serrated toilet holder every time she went to the toilet. I was specialling her. She also had 3 multiple personalities. We had quite frank discussion on this. She told me that a male voice was tellign her to kill herself and i told her to tell the voice to get lost and stop telling her what to do with her life.I thought about the personalities...could be spirit attachments also. There is really just no way that anyone would ever know unless they attended some spirit release work with a hypnotist to move those spirits on. I asked her if she had ever seen a hypnotist and she said no. This woman has quite a history of chronic schizophrenia and had come from a dysfunctional family and had a very abusive childhood.

You cant really give anyone advice on this because of the nature of it. The only thing you can really suggest is that she try different approaches both medically and spiritually. There are hypnotists who are psychologists and deasl with spirit attachment also and can recognise acute psychosis which is best looked at by a psychiatrist. These sort of things need to be looked at quickly because things can happen quickly and

Also.... that is not true that if you know the things are not real, you are not a schizophrenic.
I have come across heaps of people who know its not real and know they have a mental illness but still they succumb to their psychosis.

Just wanted to add also that if she takes a different approach more towards the spiritual side, she is best doing this first because once she gets under the care of a psychiatrists....she will have great difficulty doing thhis. Any attempt to do this after will just be frowned on by a doctor and looked at as a probably worsening of her condition. Not only that, the drugs they use are pretty strong.

If the former doesnt work, you would naturally progress towards more medical treatment.

If this is a sudden thing and her life previous including childhood have been fine and her mental health has been perfect up until now, the former treatment would be worth a try I think.

I agree Tracy. In order to rule out schizophrenia the appropriate tests & physicians dx would be the first or initial step. Neurologist to Psychiatrist/Psychologist… CT Scans or MRI’s. But it doesn’t seem as if this is the case here. Her symptoms just began & there’s no reoccurring episode/s or history. (From childhood 'til today)

The word ‘Schizophrenia’ was used by the poster ~ only because of the symptoms or signs "verbally" given to express or explain the woman’s experiences. Like most of societies way of explaining the unknown yet having no medical background. Well.. Whatever the circumstance I would encourage her to seek the alternative method if all else fails.

I was labeled as being schizophrenic by several psychiatrists because I could see ghosts. My parents took me to one right after the other when they couldn't come up with a answer as to why I seen these enities, only to tell my parents I was nuts. All these head shrinks these days are only hell bend on one thing...and that's to label us all nuts and then place us on so many medications. Sometimes being not the right answer.
After years of torture in mental wards and being drugged up on several medications...they finally came to the conclusion that I wasn't nuts and let me go home. My parents didn't believe me at all about my ability to see and speak to ghosts until after their own deaths, because I am able to speak with them now in the afterlife.
I would try and find somebody who deals with the paranormal or one who understands that it does exsist so that they won't label this person crazy for seeing and feeling enities.
You surely don't want to end up down the road that I did...that road was the hard way.
