Some of the reasons they choose to remain earthbound.....
Fear...the fear of being judged by God because of religious beliefs.
also not knowing what awaits them when they die.
Watch over loved ones..they want to stay and be with family, not wanting to give it up.
Unfinished business...they feel that they have not completed something in thier life.
Justice...say they were murdered, and they stay behind to make sure the murderer is captured and justice is serve.
Some die quickly and they never knew what hit them....some don't even know they are dead.
There are so many reasons...I sure each one has their own reason why they wish to remain.
But I also believe that not all orbs are human spirit, I also believe that some of them are angelic/angels or guardians.

I study orbs and trying to figure out what they are. I believe they are the suitcase that contains our soul. When someone dies, some remain earthbound, but where does that soul go? Where does that energy go? It has to go somewhere. So many people debunk orbs only because they have no real explaination of what they are, or how they are formed..and it's a lot easier to say dust, dirt, lint, etc. The faces within the orb (which I have good examples in my photo album on my profile) as I believe the faces are just that..."the souls" of who we were. Yes, I have seen many faces in one orb, but I sometimes wonder if that's also the past lives of that soul also. Can more than one life be contained into one orb? It's possible. But the orb is still into the deep study process...and it's going to take some time to figure out why the orb even exsist before we move on to why they have faces. We never know the answer until our own death...but I still say they serve a important roll in the paranormal community.
