WISE Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer
I apologise for this blog being non paranormal. I just need to vent about this Fridays (Dec.11th) launch of the spacecraft, WISE. The WISE spacecraft will circle Earth over the poles, scanning the entire sky one-and-a-half times in nine months. The mission will uncover hidden cosmic objects, including the coolest stars, dark asteroids and the most luminous galaxies.
WISE is going to be the GPS of astronomy for a celestial treasure hunter.
