holy crap that was scary

I just got back from a trip up north to my girlfriend's family cabin cheboygan michigan and I have never been so scared. It started saturday afternoon when my girlfriend woke me up from a nap saying someone was trying to open the door down stairs over and over again and she said she heard children playing outside. she had thought that her relatives had shown up unannounced and was worried that we had locked them out, so I went downstairs to check and there wasn't any body there. so I assured her that she was dreaming even though she was sure that she wasn't. all day sunday went by with no incidents and I was positive that there was nothing abnormal going on at the cabin and felt completely at ease. I'm not sure what time it was but late at night I was woke up by the sound of children playing, it was loud but echoed sounding and very close. within a few seconds of opening my eyes I felt some one walking on the bed and thought it was my girlfriend getting up to go to the bathroom and as I looked down at my feet I saw foot steps going across the bed but nobody was there. my heart went nuts beating very hard, then I heard a giggle and the sheets at my feet were picked up about a foot or so and I could see the finger imprints in them, then another giggle and the sheet fell down. I wiped my eyes and sat up then the sheets were picked up and dropped very fast about five or six times and then nothing but silence. I stayed awake for an hour or so after that and didn't see or hear anything else. I didn't want to scare my girlfriend like I had been so I didn't wake her up and didn't tell her about it until we got back home and that's when she told me what she had seen that night. she had said that when she went up to the loft to go to sleep she laid down and saw a dark shadow figure moving across the ceiling but thought it must have been her eyes playing tricks on her and just closed her eyes till I finished watching tv and came to bed. I don't know any of the local stories but from what she told me after the fact is that there have been many deaths of children and teens at the rail road bridge about 200 yards up river from the cabin because they would jump off it and miss the channel and hit tree stumps and stuff in the more shallow part of the river, but as far as I know those are just stories and I can't vouch for them with out any actual evidence.
