Just Cuz I'm bored BLOG, nothing to do with Angels, Orbs, Ghosts Etc!

I'm still waiting for Missy (My daughter) to come and bring us back home...seems like we've been waiting forever!!!!

Today we went to A.C. Moore and got 5 skeins of yarn at 50% off so that I can make a blanket for "my" little man K.J. and then we ate at Ryans Buffet...(Our favorite as we go before 3pm and we both get a seniors discount.....shhhh....don't tell anyone I'm not 60 yet) and then went site seeing...around this area...

We drove to the city/town of Orange (the County seat of Orange County)..I thought that it wold be an older town like Fredericksburg, but it didn't seem to be that old...unless we just didn't drive thru the right areas...some late 1800's to mostly turn of the century houses...and lots of them look like out of the 40's and 50's..(Mind you I'm not an expert at timelines for houses, but this would be my best guess lol)

Now I say these are not old...as compared to downtown Fredericksburg...these are BRANDY NEW! We saw some houses & buildings, dating from late 1600's to early 1700's....and then of course the "newer ones" 1800's to 1900's to "just" a 100 yrs old....These houses have historical markers on them that tell of the dates...I am NOT a pychic! This whole area was part of the Civil War...WoW! Yeah, REAL OLD!

Well we were were disappointed with Orange, but then went to Culpeper...now that seems like a neat town to walk thru (if you didn't have a 22 month old baby with you lol), all kinds of neat and different old shops!

Fredericksburg is another place I would like to walk thru the downtown area...to be able to see these old shops, and be able to read the historical markers dating them better! OMG...they even still have a Ben Franklins store..Yeah, OK, if I didn't have KJ...

Well, anyways...Momma enjoys these rides as Daddy wasn't into just going riding and looking at things like me & Momma are...If he had someplace to go to he would go to it and that was that...no going off the beaten path...or if so, not far off of it...not for long! He was a GOD to ME, but he always had lists...and or itineraries....not real flexible with time..not very adventurous!

I don't know where our next trip will be off to, but I know there must be alot of places of interest that are not too far from here...I would like to do the Skyline Drive thru the Blue Ridge Mountains...and of course get into DC 1 or 2 more times to see what I want there also...
